FUJIFILM Corporation (President and CEO: Shigetaka Komori) announced today that it will implement worldwide price increases on Photographic Papers.
To sustain its photo imaging business, Fujifilm has been undertaking intensive structural reforms to reduce fixed costs and improve productivity, and has been absorbing the increasing costs of raw materials used to manufacture Photographic Papers over the past years. However, the soaring costs of silver and other raw materials since last autumn have reached the point where they can no longer be offset by Fujifilm's continuous effort, and it had announced the price increase on Photographic Papers in December, 2010.
Since then, soaring silver cost has still continued and especially silver market price has reached and kept historically the highest level. Thus, this time Fujifilm has been forced to increase as follows:

Under such soaring silver cost pressures, Fujifilm will also implement worldwide price increases on Motion Picture Films and Photographic Films at the same time.
